I’ve been working at Sega for a month now and things are really starting to speed up! I still can’t wait to see what new things will turn up on my desk but at the same time I don’t think I’ve ever worked this hard! It’s like having a University deadline every week on some weeks. Meanwhile its also allowing me to learn so many new things on various programs that will help me now and in the future that I can apply on my personal design work.

On one of my trips this month I attended Develop3d LIVE in Warwick and got to meet a design hero, Daniel Simon. For those who don’t know this is the guy behind the vehicle designs for movies such as, Tron: Legacy, Captain American, Oblivion and many more. So he’s definitely doing very well for himself! In person though I was amazed of how chilled he was even after having to sign books and hand-draw a unique sketch in almost every book he was given (Including mine!). Its great to see someone who is so passionate about what they do and also manages to find a lot of time for his fans.

While this was a busy month, I managed to book some time off and go over the pond to Amsterdam for the first ever King’s Day celebration (formally Queen’s Day). I’ve never quite experienced anything like it and it really isn’t something I can put into words either. Everyone is out in the streets dressed in orange and parties like crazy is the short version. I think the pictures will explain it more than anything so make sure you look at them.

Anyway, thats enough chat for this month. Hoping to FINALLY have some new personal artwork out within the next week since the sketch is now finished!
