DONDONDIARY – FEBRUARY/MARCH 2014

(I didn’t have my SLR with me recently so these all these images are from my phone with my own filters added!)

I have a lot to explain and I don’t want this to turn into a huge unreadable essay. As I explained in my last diary post, I had been job searching for quite a few months and finally February showed me some luck. After a number of interviews with some very different design companies in some very different locations I have finally managed to successfully secure myself a permanent position. The pictures shown above will hopefully show some of the random places my interviews took me… and the very noticeable change from UK storms to sunshine!

I’m very happy to announce that I have found myself within the legendary gaming brand, SEGA, as a junior designer. I can’t wait to see what new stuff this will teach me and what it will do for my work as a designer. Not only, but I’ll hopefully get a chance to work with some very familiar faces and brands in the entertainment industry.

I’m hoping now I have a permanent job it will give me a chance to calm down and organise myself to make time for more DONDONDESIGN work! Specially now I can use the skills I learn at Sega to improve my personal work too. I have already put pen to paper on a new Faces of Music caricature, so that should start to take shape and reveal itself very soon.

That’s the situation anyway, so The future is most certainly looking bright for me and for DONDONDESIGN. See you next month.
